Here’s the cliff notes version
- Your personal information collected from payment forms or mailing list signup forms is never shared, sold or rented to anyone, ever.
- Your personal information is only shared between internal systems, like: WordPress, Stripe, Paypal and Mailerlite —all of whom have security safeguards in place.
- Yes, I know it’s a yawn but I gotta do it.
- Some data (IP, location, referrer, etc) is collected via Google Analytics but not shared, rented or sold to anyone else.
- If you want the data that’s been collected by me you can contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’m happy to give it to you.
- I appreciate that you have provided your email address to me so I can communicate to you, but if you want to opt out of any communication, click “Unsubscribe” located in every single email.
- If you want your data to be deleted from anything, contact email@example.com and I’ll take care of it pronto (although you’ll no longer be able to sign into any thing that you may have purchased from me.)
- Your data is protected using industry standard tools and software. It’s never shared, sold or given away, except to connect internal software accounts to other internally used software accounts (i.e. WordPress to Mailerlite, or Optinmonster to Mailerlite or Zapier to Mailerlite – all examples).
If you want your data stored or collected, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The data is stored as long as our ecommerce stores are live.
The data is stored in the United States of America
All payments are handled using one of three services, PayPal, Stripe or ChargeDesk
The type of data stored is: name, email, IP, and personalization details you’ve filled in via forms on our website (i.e. type of freelancer or years in business).
If there is a data breach, you will be notified within 72 hours—but only if you didn’t opt out of receiving communications from me
Who am I
My website address is: https://reneeshupe.com.
What personal data I collect and why I collect it
When you purchase something from me, as part of the buying and selling process, I collect the personal information you give me such as your name, address and email address.
When you browse my store or products, I will also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide me with information that helps me learn about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing: With your permission, I may send you emails about my new products and services, products I love using affiliate marketing and other updates.
When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, I will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, I will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who I share your data with
In general, the third-party providers used by me will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to me.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information I am required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
For these providers, I recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or me. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
How long I retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where I send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How do you get my consent?
When you provide me with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, I imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
When you purchase a product, you are expressing consent to get occasional and related marketing emails.
How do I withdraw my consent?
If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for me to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting me at email@example.com or mailing me at: Redhead Business Group, 5206 54th Street, Camrose, Alberta, T4V 2B1, Canada or by clicking “Unsubscribe” from any email, which is instant.
I may disclose your personal information if I are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service. Otherwise, no one ever gets sees or uses your personal data.
My stores are hosted on FlyWheel using WordPress. This provides me with the online e-commerce platform that allows me to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through our internal databases, WordPress, credit card and payment processors, and Mailerlite. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Stripe stores your credit card data. If you choose Paypal, then Paypal stores your data. If you make your payment using ChargeDesk then your ChargeDesk stores your data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Paypal and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
To protect your personal information, I take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide me with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, I follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
Age of Consent
By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given me your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that I may continue to sell products to you.
