Are you a planner?

Is it just me or does this year feel like it's the slowest yet fast year yet?

I'm still grasping the idea that it's July. Now it might be due to the weather we've been having this year. It's been a pretty raining June and July isn't starting out much better.

I'm a fan of the beginning of July, for the simple reason that we're half way through the year and it's a great time to do a deeper dive into what I'm working on and make any adjustments for the next 6 months.

I usually plann on a quarterly basis, but I take this time to review what I've done up to now and then do a bit of brainstorming on what I'd like to accomplish in Quarter 3.

My brainstorm this morning I came up with 19 different things I'd like to tackle!

Oiy!

Now I know myself, slow and steady is my mantra right now so I know 19 items on my list is just way, way too much.

I usually like to have 1 bigger project that weaves it's way through the whole Quarter (I'm going to be diving deep into SEO this quarter) and then take one smaller project for each month.

That works out to 4 different projects.

So I guess I'll be doing some thinking on what I can move into Q4, or at least leave it there to review in Q4.

Are you someone who likes to plan or are you more of a fly by the seat of your pants kind of planner?

I use to be a wing it type of planner, but working with a coach this past year has helped me see the benefit of creating a system that helps me plan, but also give me the flexibility to accomodate my spontaneous side.

I'm curious, I'd love to know what kind of planner you are.

'til next time!
