Rick said something to me a while back. He said he doesn’t know what I do anymore.

He used to watch me bounce from one website to the next all day, and now I’m sitting in my office talking.

So I told him what I’d built since breakfast that morning. A sales page, a thank-you page, and the follow-up sequence behind them. The product set up and ready to sell.

He said, “Huh.”

A few hours later I was on a call with Peggy and told her the same thing. She stopped and said, “That was your morning? That was just a morning?”

Two people who know me well, both surprised, both for the same reason. From the outside it looks like nothing is happening. The bouncing between forty tabs is gone. There’s a woman sitting in a chair, talking.

The work stopped looking like work, and that threw everybody except me.

Rick has since started describing my job to other people as “she talks to the computer and money comes out.”

I’ve decided to let that stand.

Life first. Work optional. It’s your business, your energy and your rules.
