Business & Enough

The Five Things That Happened Every Time I Quit a Business

1 min read

I’ve quit a lot of businesses.

I launched my first one to become a life coach, with no plan, because it seemed cool. I became a technical virtual assistant and found out I didn’t like the work. I became a boutique website developer. Then came Geek in Your Pocket.

Each time, the same five things happened, in the same order. Eventually I gave that pattern a name: the Q.U.I.E.T Method™.

  • Quit what’s no longer working or serving you.
  • Uncover what’s underneath that decision.
  • Intention: work out what you want right now, and decide to make it happen.
  • Establish a way of earning, and test it against real life.
  • Thrive by running it in a way that doesn’t cost you yourself.

I’ve just rewritten the page that explains it. It has the real moments behind each step, who it’s for, and why I think permission is the whole point.

If you’ve been feeling like the business you built no longer fits the woman you’ve become, that’s the place to start.

Read what the Q.U.I.E.T Method actually is

Life first. Work optional. It’s your business, your energy and your rules.
